It says, simply, that everything that can happen does. Universes branch and branch in time, one for every alternate possibility. Far more than an intellectual exercise, the parallel universe principle can be applied in personal reality and everyday life. You can 'create' your reality by becoming the parallel-world version of yourself for whom the experience you want is already real. This is your roadmap, your guidebook, to Parallel Universes of Self.
Quantom physics reveal a different 'reality' at the atomic/sub-atomic level of being. Atomic nuclei are orbited by electrons, of course. But are these electrons 'particles' or 'waves'? You can't tell because the act of observing changes the state of the observed. How can an electron be everywhere and nowhere at once? How can it be two places at once? The parallel universe theory suggests there is around the atom a wave of possibilities. Within this wave are separate and distinct realities merging together and separating over and over. The electron is actually moving from universe to universe. Remember, all this applies to the state you and I believe is reality.
What is true for the electron is true for the world we live in. I recommend this book if you want your mind to be blown to smitherines. If you're lucky, as was I, you'll get a flash, an actual if brief, vision of how things really are in this so-called world. It's been awhile since I finished this, but reading (actually listening) to this tome was a rewarding experience.

After reading this, I became a fan, gone on to read one of his other books, and arranged to have him do a weekend seminar near where I live. I find his particular flavor of self-help refreshing, down-to-earth and practical. Others, admittedly, may find his approach more 'woo-woo' than some of his more conventional self-help brethren, and thus be turned off.

But I'm kind of 'woo-woo' myself so that wasn't a problem for me. Dodson is kind of like an updated, 21st century version of Norman Vincent Peale, with a vast array of techniques aimed at helping the reader create the life he or she wants. My only nitpicky critique of this book is that it might have been better formatted as a workbook, as it is easy to skip over many of its useful exercises and activities and not do them, thereby defeating the author's intent. Because of its very density, the reader might want to start with one of his less-demanding books, such as Intuition Training or the Communications Course, both of which are excellent introductions to his work.
